Getting Started

Prerequisites

If you haven't already, follow the initial steps of the Getting Started guide:

  1. Install Meltano
  2. Create your Meltano project

Dependencies

Postgres is packaged as a Docker image so you must have Docker installed before running the plugin.

Installation and configuration

  1. Add the postgres utility to your project using 
    meltano add
     : 
    2. meltano add utility postgres
  2. Configure the postgres settings using 
    meltano config
     : 
    3. meltano config postgres set --interactive

Next steps

  1. Launch Postgres:

    meltano invoke --containers postgres:start

    Connect with your postgres client at postgresql://warehouse:warehouse@localhost:5432/warehouse.
